Templates can be set as defaults in a couple of different scenarios
As the default for a board
To configure as a default for a board
- Open the Approval Workflows item view on any item from your board
- Click on configure templates
- Expand the details the desired template
- Click on “Use a default for board”
As the default for a group
Setting a template as a default for a group will give this template priority over the configured board default
To configure as a default for a group
- Open the Approval Workflows item view on any item from your board
- Click on configure templates
- Expand the details the desired template
- Click on the dropdown under the heading “Use as default for groups”
- Select the groups that you want to default to using the desired template
As the default for new board
The default for a newly created board can be configured if you often create new boards and don’t want to have to set up the default template every time you do so.
To configure as a default for newly created boards
- Open the Approval Workflows item view on any item from your board
- Click on configure templates
- Expand the details the desired template
- Click on “Use a default for new boards”
